Kadriorg Park was established in the environs of Kadriorg castle in 1718 on the order of Peter I and today is Estonia’s most prominent city park. This park, with a castle, rose garden, swan pond and beautiful garden design, spans over 70 hectares, and the total length of roads through the park is 16 km. Several museums, such as KUMU and Kadriorg Art Museum, are also located in Kadriorg Park.

The park is about a 30-minute walk from Tallink City Hotel, Tallink Express Hotel and Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel.

The two-kilometre seaside foot and bike path, Kalaranna Promenade, also called the Beta Promenade, runs along the coastline from Kalasadam to the Noblessner Port campus and passes several sights worth visiting: the Cultural Hub Kultuurikatel, the former Patarei Prison and the seaplane harbour. You can admire the beautiful views of Tallinn Bay on the way.

Kalamaja Cemetery Park, which is a favourite place for local residents and families to spend time together, is also located near the Promenade. Walking through the park, you reach the streets of Kalamaja; this cute little responsible and trend-conscious settlement immersed in greenery is appreciated for its well-preserved wooden houses. Kalamaja’s community centre is located in Telliskivi Creative City, where the best Estonian design, the photography art centre Fotografiska, and nice eateries, pubs and bars are concentrated. If we add the abundance of events to this, it is no wonder that Kalamaja has become the centre of local life in the city.

The Kalaranna promenade is located about a 10-minute walk away from Tallink Express Hotel and Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel and about a 20-minute walk from Tallink City Hotel.

Walk from the city centre along the beach promenade directly to the beach of Pirita – by bike or on foot, alone or with the whole family. There are playgrounds and comfortable places to sit along the road, and magnificent views of the sea, the harbour and the city skyline, which is considered one of Tallinn’s symbols, open up along the way.

Maarjamäe is located next to Pirita Promenade, where the Estonian History Museum and the Film Museum are currently located, with a spacious outdoor area and an outdoor exhibition of Soviet-era monuments behind the museum. A short walk from Maarjamäe Castle is one of the most important memory sites in Estonia, the recently opened Memorial to the Victims of Communism. The journey can be completed at the two-kilometre long sandy beach of Pirita, which is the city’s best-known bathing beach in the summer. The total length of the promenade from the city centre, from the beginning of Reidi Road to Pirita Beach, is 6 km.

The beginning of the promenade is about a 15-minute walk from Tallink Express Hotel, Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel and Tallink City Hotel.

Near Pirita, in Kloostrimetsa, there is a truly beautiful green area: Tallinn Botanic Garden, which is suitable both for getting to know the species-rich flora and for an enjoyable walk. Take a walk in the rose garden with hundreds of rose varieties, have a picnic or discover several nature trails; the Pirita River Valley Landscape Reserve begins next to the Botanic Garden.

The nature trail of the botanical garden runs through forests and meadows, with oak trees and groves along the way. As the trail runs partially through the territory of the Botanic Garden, a ticket to the Botanic Garden must be bought during the summer.

Tallinn Botanic Garden is located 30-40 minutes away from the city centre by public transport. The botanical garden can be reached by bus nos. 34A and 38.
