Today, the Tallink Express Hotel, located near Port of Tallinn and Old Town, opens its doors to guests following a comprehensive renovation. The renovation work, which lasted half a year, included a complete refresh of the hotel’s concept, and the three-star hotel is now ready to serve guests 24/7 with contactless service.
During the renovation, both the hotel’s interior design and service logic were updated. The result is a modern hybrid hotel where check-in, check-out, and room access operate seamlessly as self-service. At the same time, staff are always available to offer support and personalized service.
“We didn’t just refresh the hotel’s exterior; we reimagined the entire service – how to offer today’s travelers maximum flexibility, comfort, and independence while maintaining warm hospitality,” said Ave Svarts, a member of the Tallink Hotels board, summarizing the updates to the Tallink Express Hotel. “Tallink Express is the ideal stopover for those who appreciate an excellent location in the immediate vicinity of the port and the Old Town, a tastefully renovated interior, and the opportunity to tailor their accommodation experience to their own preferences.”
The renovated hotel places a strong emphasis on smart self-service solutions and efficient use of space. Guests have access to a range of 24-hour amenities, including a games area, coffee and snack vending machines, a beer bar, an ironing and laundry room, and luggage storage. This allows the hotel to keep its base room rates affordable while giving guests the freedom to choose additional services according to their needs.
Tempo Resto, located on the hotel’s first floor, has also undergone a renovation. Breakfast is served in a cozy setting in the mornings, buffet lunches are available on weekdays, and in the evenings, the restaurant is open to host events and groups.
The Tallink Express Hotel has a total of 165 guest rooms, most of which are double rooms, but thanks to extra-bed options, they are also suitable for smaller families or groups of friends. The selection also includes spacious family rooms with a pull-out sofa, connecting rooms, and accessible rooms for guests with special needs.
The interior design features warm, earthy tones and a modern style, creating a cozy atmosphere. In addition to the hotel’s own services, guests can also take advantage of the facilities at the four-star Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel located in the neighboring building, adding even more flexibility.
Tallink Hotels, part of AS Tallink Group, operates a total of four hotels. The Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel, the Tallink Express Hotel, and the Tallink City Hotel are located in Tallinn and the Tallink Hotel Riga in the capital of Latvia. Tallink’s hotels offer a total of 1041 rooms.
