Tallink hotels introduce new bioactive cleaning agents

For Tallink hotels, it is important that quality service goes hand in hand with responsible choices. That is why we are introducing a new generation of bioactive cleaning agents, MAXX Synbiotic, in our hotels.

MAXX Synbiotic cleaning agents are innovative products from Ecolab that, in addition to impeccable cleanliness, also support a healthier hotel environment and reduce the environmental impact of housekeeping. They combine prebiotics, probiotics and biodegradable surfactants that support the balance of natural microflora and help reduce the need for harsh chemicals.

Each bottle of MAXX Synbiotic contains over 50 billion beneficial microorganisms, which — in addition to an immediate professional cleaning result — also provide a continued cleaning effect for days after use. It is like adding 50 billion little helpers to your housekeeping team.

How do the microorganisms work?

1. The surface is cleaned immediately

   Biodegradable cleaning agents remove dirt right away. At the same time, a layer of beneficial probiotics and prebiotics remains on the surface, helping to maintain the cleaning result for longer.

2. Beneficial bacteria break down dirt

   Probiotics are beneficial bacteria whose enzymes break down organic dirt such as food, grease, oil, blood and other residues. This allows microorganisms to reach the dirt more effectively and remove it more efficiently.

3. The cleaning effect continues after housekeeping.

   Prebiotics are beneficial sugars that selectively stimulate the activity of good bacteria. They serve as a food source for probiotics, helping them stay active longer. As a result, the cleaning process continues even after housekeeping is complete, and surfaces stay clean for longer.

The introduction of the new cleaning agents was preceded by thorough training for the hotels’ housekeeping teams. The suitability of the products for the hotel environment was first tested over a few months in two hotel rooms. As the results were excellent, the products were introduced into daily use at Tallink Express Hotel after reopening. The next step is to extend their use to Tallink City and Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel.

MAXX Synbiotic products are particularly well suited to the hotel environment, as their formulation targets and breaks down organic dirt and odour sources as well as allergens found in rooms. The probiotics reach even the smallest cracks that traditional cleaning products cannot access. This ensures a deep clean on more porous floor coverings and tiled bathroom surfaces, preventing the build-up of dirt and limescale at the microscopic level.
